    It's time for Trick-or-treating!
Posted by: Vini -- 3:00 PM EST

It is that time of the year again when people traditionally dress up in scary or funny costumes and get to "Trick or Treat". To trick or treat you must do it in of one the 10 full costumes dropped by the Spooky ghosts.

Once you have them go to Kugnae taverns, Buya taverns or Nagnang taverns and say "Trick of Treat".

Trick or treating may cause a large number of various effects and you can do that multiple times in a day, with 30 minutes break between each time you do the trick of treating.
  • Most known tricks are: change of totem animal, PK death, send to jail, mass vertigo, spawn squirrels, etc.
  • Most known treats are: a huge variety of morphs, special dyes, karma, etc.

While you can find the Spooky ghosts at the open areas of Kugnae, Buya and Nagnang, the best and fastest place to collect costumes is again at the Nagnang Haunted House. To reach that haunted house you need to go to Nagnang west gate then walk south towards 010,155. Once you reach the Nagnang Farms follow the path untl you see a path going west. From there go to 000,022. Keep following the path and there you'll find the Haunted House.

Once inside you'll find several of those Spooky ghosts that drop the various costumes above. There are 16 types of spooky ghosts in total and their names are: Bandit Spooky, Bashful Spooky, Blushing Spook, Coy Spook, Crook Spook, Flushed Spook, Hooligan Spook, Howling Spook, Moaning Spook, Mushy Spook, Mushy Spook, Spongy Spook, Spooky Spook, Squashey Spooky, Squishy Spook, Villain Spook, and Yowling Spook.

Besides the full costumes they also drop some funny hats:

Nexus Atlas wishes everyone a Happy Halloween and enjoy trick or treating!

    Iron Hands Horror Event Walkthrough
Posted by: AznCloudBoi -- 6:51 PM EST

The Iron Hands are back and this time they're causing more problems than ever, unleashing wraith enmities from their slumber. All that is happening while a concerned/reckless mother has her daughter go missing. And it is her plea for help that will push us towards another adventure. So get your gears ready and prepare for another great event in the Kingdom of the Winds.

PART I - Finding the Little Girl

    Outside preparations:
  • Tako ink (1)
  • Long spear (1)

Event items you get in this part:
  • Igkam sweets (1)
  • Scaredy-cat figurine (1)
  • Cell pass (1)

    1. Talk to Mother Igkam at the Wilderness near the Graveyard.

    2. Enter the Pylon Walk at southwest of the Wilderness (0,200). Then keep walking until you reach the next room.

    3. Once you reach the Pylon Fold you'll notice you can pass the fences anymore. The way across is blocked. However, if you go to the east section of the fence (19,15) you'll notice a small gap in the pylon fence (19,15). To squeeze through the gap you'll need to have Tako ink.

    4. After crossing the fence head to the next room. There you'll find another roadblock: a lava river at the room called Fire Terminate. You'll notice a Tree root next to the lava river (10,13). If you stand next to it with a Long spear you'll be able to vault to the other side to enter the building.

    5. Once inside the Iron nightmare go straight north until you enter the next room at the center.

    6. When you reach the Iron Cache you'll be safe. There are no enemies spawning here. You found the little girl and her toy, but it won't so simple getting her out of there. For now, talk to Crissy Igkam (the little girl) and then to Teddy Igkam (the teddy bear). Listen to what the teddy bear says and then he will give you Igkam sweets.

    7. Take the Igkam sweets back to Mother Igkam at the Wilderness and click on her. She'll give you a Scaredy-cat figurine.

    8. Take the figurine back to the Iron cache and talk with Teddy Igkam again. You'll get a small karma rise and a Cell pass.

Forsaken rings, Asmodi weapons, Sun armors and even new tiered Brutal shanks have been discovered so far.

    Event so far...might be more...

Thanks to Nobrows, Baik, NightIce, Lancin, GlenCoco, Creses, TigerRyu, Deji and everyone that spent a lot of time trying to solve it.

Edit: In the early morning on 10/29/2020, GM Wony posted this:

    Board : Community
    Author : GM Wony
    Subject : Cache keys (revised)
    Date : 10/29
If you were lucky enough to get a Cache key from a boss in the last couple of hours, your chance of getting another Cache key in succession will be significantly lower.

This is to ease the situation where a small number of players hoard most of the keys from the bosses.

And that's why I suggested to take a break for a couple of hours if you just got a key as it makes sense while the server refreshes, and in the meantime other players can try out their skills and luck as well.

If I sounded rude in my previous posts, I apologize as it was not my intention. Just wanted to inform you.

And yes, Sun armors come from the cache and so far 3 have been released, but the people who got them aren't very vocal about that.

Good luck to you all, and Happy Halloween!

Halloween Event: A Nightmare on Iron Beat
Posted by: Vini -- 10:00 PM EST

The Iron Hands are back! Their hideout has been recently discovered in at the southwest of the Wilderness by a group of scouts looking for a missing girl who was playing around the Wilderness Graveyard area. The child goes by the name of Crissy and her mother is desperately asking for people to help her save her daughter.

Here is a copy of the Whispering Winds note about this event:
    BOARD TITLE: Whispering Winds
    FROM: NexusTK DATE: 10/27
    SUBJECT: Grave Trouble/font>
Members from the community have stumbled upon a mother from the Wilderness Village looking for her lost daughter. Scouts were dispatched and have reported unusual activity near a cemetery in the south-west wooded area, which is where the missing girl was last suspected to have been playing with her toy bear. In addition, the scouts report several sets of muddy footprints along a path heading further south. The path was littered with remnants of broken crates and pottery. The last scout report indicates the search was abruptly suspended after members believe they witnessed ghosts lingering in the tree line.

Caution is advised to all community members traveling in the area.

The Nexus Atlas team is working on a full walk-through of the event, until it's published we advise you to check the community board for the amazing guide provided by several helpful members of the Nexus community.

    Power List fixed
Posted by: Vini -- 10:50 PM EST

The power list of Nexus seems to have been fixed as finally the Royal characters (ChaeRi, Mobon, MingJung) are no longer showing on the top positions anymore.

With this the list of Top Warriors and Top Mages are also accurate again.

Special thanks to Kaelen for bringing this to my attention.

Royal Monster Mash, a Fairground Smash
Posted by: Maron -- 11:33 PM EST

    Hey folks!
On Sunday, the Royal Ministry of Koguryo coordinated over a dozen events in Koguryo Fairland, hosted by Silla, Oceana, Tiger, Forsaken, KoguryoArmy, Destiny and SunMoon Clans, as well as Merchant, Diviner, Chongun and Shaman Subpaths.

RMK revealed brand new marks to be used for this and future festivities.

Click below for an expandable mash-up image of some highlights of the Royal Monster Mash.

After the Fair, a special note from Prime Minister BaByBoy and Deputy Under Secretary Celindon was posted on Chronicles of the Winds board:

Board : Chronicles of the Winds
    Author : Celindon
Subject : *\|/* A note from the RMK
    Date : 7/30
    To The Community,

First and foremost, we want to share our greatest love we have for our fellow Ministers in the Royal Ministry of Koguryo. You all go above and beyond the call of duty to throw together some of the greatest events we've ever seen.

Firstly we want to thank the Dreamweaver Mir and Archon Primogen Alilolelotte. You both worked extremely hard to bring together all of our ideas and plans for the Royal Monster Mash (and previous events). We hear so often complaints about the things that need to be done and fixed, but rarely do you receive the public credit for all that you do to provide us assistance and give us ample things to enjoy like these types of community run events.

And finally, the community. Thank you so much for showing up and participating in one of our largest events this year. We gave away a lot of coins, showed support for our active clans and subpaths, and had a lot of fun. We got to see some scary monsters, play with lanterns, and have a lot of laughs.

When people ask us why we spend hours and hours coordinating, networking, and planning these types of events, it's because of the community response. Thank you so much for showing up and spending some of your day with us.

The Royal Ministry of Koguryo appreciates you and we look forward to spending more time with you all during our next festivities.

    ~Signed
    Prime Minister Deputy Under Secretary
    BaByBoy Celindon

    P.S. from Celindon

A special shout out to our Prime Minister BaByBoy. You empower all of us in your Ministry to be the best possible members we can. Thank you for working tireless in networking with the gods to make sure we have all we need for fun and interesting events.

Congratulations to Koguryo as well as Buya and Nagnang Ministries on your updates.

    October Carnivale Reflections
Posted by: Maron -- 10:32 PM EST

    Hey folks!
Last Friday night, KSG, Muse Guild, Druid path, and Eternal Order of Nagnang members hosted a line up of festive events that lasted a few hours, primarily within Stealth Grotto.

Three Musei, playing "Red, Green and Blue" (seen below) and others performed a play about musical players discussing a review of their past work in a backstage dressing room.

Next, Known hosted a Costume Contest / Talent Show in which participants would perform explanations of how and why they were dressed.

Following the judges' declaration of the winners, a pair of agents took the center stage, and began performing what appeared to be a blood ritual with bizarre incantations.

This shockingly resulted in "past bounties" in the form of Crypt Kangsee flooding into the Grotto and slaying anyone in their path. With bravery, determination, and the use of Magic mirrors, citizens in attendance were able to repel the ghosts both in the Grotto and the Cemetery Crypts beyond.

Afterward, those taking shelter in the Meeting Hall convened with the brave citizens returning from battle, and lined up to receive rare potions as rewards. Additionally, the Druid Nunu performed a blessing of the ground to return peace to the Stealth Grotto.

Congratulations to all of the organizations mentioned above and the attendees of said events that made October 23rd so entertaining and memorable!

<'> SJF Help Day yields success
Posted by: Maron -- 5:41 PM EST

    Hey folks!
For a couple weeks, Lancin and friends had been promoting a Help Day on behalf of the Shining Jewel Foundation, whose members gathered yesterday evening alongside Queen Lasahn, kingdom officials and noteworthy citizens at the Tangun Basin.

For two hours, new characters were offered help with items to learn spells, complete quests, as well as a chance to group and level up in both Ancient Training Grounds and Malgalod, hosted by hydy, Acemancer and Quistia.

There was also a run through Tiger Palace with Visionary Nobu for young poets to defeat Storm and learn the Restore ability, with help from AzNCloudBoi who provided Trigram keyset for that quest.

Meanwhile, since enough people were content with socializing in Tangun, MesoCute hosted a few rounds of the popular /roll game OMGNMP below the Basin, giving donated money to the winners.

Overall, this event seemed to be a fantastic demonstration of community outreach. While helpful deeds occur on a daily basis in Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds, the Shining Jewel Foundation has proven to be an organization built for this very purpose.

See something we haven't? Please notify a Nexus Atlas reporter!

    Two New Army Generals
Posted by: Maron -- 10:52 PM EST

    Hey folks!
This evening, after a day of celebration in Buya, Queen Lasahn officially announced that Prince Daeso would be taking over Buya Imperial Army.

Here's what the newly appointed "Ranger-General" had to say:
"I do not take this decision lightly, I see many faces here of those who I personally invited to share in this moment. To the clans of Buya, I hope to serve along side you. I will work with you as our army grows and changes so that we can ensure not only the safety of our people but all of our growth as well.
I look forward to meeting with each of the clans individually very soon to discuss exactly what this will mean for Buya.
I also invited my friends and family from the Wilderness. I say this to you now, I am Prince and General of Buya but I am also an oathsworn Ranger. I will do everything in my power to ensure that our kingdom does not pose a threat to those who prefer a neutral life."

Also, a couple weeks ago Koguryo had its own small ceremony acknowledging Amatus as the new General of Koguryo Royal Army.

Here is what the repeated Chongun-General had to say:
"Thank you for allowing me this honor once again, General sayianwar.
I hope to be able to lead the Army into whatever uncertain times are ahead, and keep Koguryo safe from harm by whatever means.
I have plenty of plans in progress for the Army. It will take some time to realize them, but I appreciate your support.
I believe a priority as of a recent development is to maintain peaceful relation with Buya. The last thing we need is another enemy to our kingdom. It would be a shame if we were to let the Empire fend for themselves.
The Koguryo Royal Army has an always shall be the arm of the Royal family, with an open hand to its loyal subjects, Kugnae clan leaders and members and citizens at large, and a closed fist to any who oppose the safety and security of our traditions and values."

Congratulations to these two! May they each uphold their responsibilities to Buya and Koguryo!
