Nagnang by the sea
Posted by: Vini -- 1:11 PM EST

With the Shipwrecked crew event (Thanksgiving 2017)the community was able to explore more of the littoral by the Yellow Sea at southern limits of Nagnang. While the Nagnang Farms, Haunted House and main Shore were discovered during Halloween event, now three new areas can now be explored: the Nagnang Coastline, a longer part of Nagnang shore and Nagnang Secluded Beach. Check out the updated map scheme:

Wild Wild Wilderness
Posted by: Vini -- 4:00 PM EST

Last Thursday the Wilderness between Koguryo and Buya has been revamped to a more modern and updated look and resembles much more what one would expect of a "Wilderness". Rumor is that this renovation was a combined effect of Druids' lunar festivals and Geomancers' tao mirrors, showing the true colors of the wilderness. Here's how the new wilderness (7.x) looks like:

For reference here is how Wilderness (6.x) looked like until last week.

Also, for reference here is how Wilderness (4.x) looked like originally. The new version seems like an updated version of the original one from Nexus 4.x era. Doesn't it?

Just for reference, most places continue in their own coords. Gelapod moved to 107,017.

Wony's Displeasure
Posted by: Ferro -- 12:53 PM EST

Yesterday, Wony posted on Community about the actions of some during this event. Here is what they had to say:

BOARD TITLE: Community
FROM: Wony DATE: 11/25
SUBJECT: Thanksgiving message, Thankful token

As posted previously, these were intended to express our gratitude for the people we are truly thankful for.

Most people followed this guideline and I am grateful, but sadly, there are some people who traded and stocked up the items.

Actions such as this undermines the truthful heart and deed of other people, and severly limits what GMs attempt to achieve in Nexus.

I am considering putting a nice shameful permanent legend mark on the people who traded these items for money or gains.

Shipwrecked Crew - Event Walkthrough
Posted by: Vini -- 1:00 AM EST

There's a new event at Nexus, started during Thanksgiving day. From what we could understand, the story involves a group of five privateers who were transporting goods on their ship from Paejkae kingdom to Han sailing the northern parts of the yellow sea. Their captain decided to stop at Shilla kingdom shores to buy Mooncake (yes the one we can buy at Changmu Town) and when they left Shilla saying west they seem to have been attacked by cyclopes throwing rocks at the sky. It's unclear how they've been throwing rocks into the sea, maybe they have some catapult system of sorts, but no one have seen these cyclopes yet, but its believed the live somewhere on the cliffs of Nagnang Coastline.

With the attacks of the Cyclopes the Privateers crew of "The Hanyang" have shipwrecked, and seems their captain refused to leave the ship and died. Now the four remaining crew members are asking for our help, which means multiple new quests. They are located at the shores of Nagnang, south of Nagnang farms. Along with Nagnang Shore, which we were able to visit since Halloween event, now there are three new areas. To west of Nagnang shore you can find Nagnang Coastline, to east you can find a continuation of Nagnang Shore and to east of long Nagnang Shore you can find Nagnang Secluded Beach.

Quest 1 -- Wood for a new boat:

On the main Nagnang shore you'll find Quartermaster Blanchet. She seems to think she is the new captain of the crew now and is asking for help to get wood to build a bigger boat. Her quest is mandatory before you can do the quests of the other 3 privateers. She asks for help with either:
  • Taun wood (10) -OR-
  • Ginko wood (30)

    After, donating the wood to her the other privateers will answer to you.

    Quest 2 -- Rotten Fish Revenge:

    At Nagnang Coastline you'll find Boatswain Mazin who says she wants revenge for the Cyclopes who shipwrecked them and stole all their fish stock. She says that since they like fish so much she will throw a bunch of rotten fish there in hopes to see the Cyclopes die of dysentery. She asks for our help to collect fish. She needs:
  • Putrid fish (50)
  • Repugnant fish (100)
  • Malodorous fish (100)

    These can all be obtained at Hamgyong River area. Once you give her all of the items she gives you Magical gills item, which according to her allows her to briefly breath underwater. It's either an item to be used in future event or presumed to help with Gogoon island's underwater cave.

    Quest 3 -- Pumpkin Pie recipe:

    At the Nagnang Secluded Beach you'll find the Sailing Master Primaud, who seems to be a bit of a drunkard. He firsts asks you to bring him the strangest drink you can find, or strongest bottle. Here is what he'll need:
  • Bottle of Rage (1)

    The bottle of rage can be bought inside the Barbarian Cave, you go west into a room called Min-Kahn`s Judgement and buy it for 200 coins from Min-Kahn.

    Next you say "Blanchet" and he tells you that the Quartermaster wants him to collect pumpkins and asks your help to grab them. Bring him the following:
  • Field pumpkin (20)

    Field pumpkin is obtainable by slaying Kangsee at the cemeteries and Gangshi at Turtle Shell Cave. Once you give him the twenty field pumpkins he'll reward you with a Pumpkin pie made with his mother's recipe. It fully restores vita and mana, but unlike Songpyeon it does only have 1 use.

    Main Quest -- Capture the Slate Turkey:

    The third and main quest is the one to capture the Slate turkey that are roaming around the shores of Nagnang. With the shipwreck it seems all the live animals they were carrying on the ship escaped and are roaming free on and making a mess on the beaches. First Mate Gousqueton, who also thinks he is the new captain is asking for help to collect the turkey, but informs that you'll need some special tools to capture them:
  • Catching net (1),
  • Animal cage (many)

    The catching net can be bought for 10,000 coins from Jinhye at Do's Spiritual Garden and Animal cages can bought for 2,000 coins each from Dokami at Master Kyun's Enclave at Merchant's subpath area. Also buy some acorns as you'll need them.

    -- How to catch Turkey --

    Equip your Catching net, throw (use) an acorn at the turkey and it will get distracted when they go to each it, hit the turkey a few times and you'll be able to capture it and put into the animal cages. Once you capture enough of them say "Caged turkey" to First Mate Gousqueton and he'll take all the caged turkey from your inventory. They do not stack, so you'll need a lot of free inventory space to carry many cages.

    Here are the rewards for the amount of turkey you capture:
  • 15 caged turkey captured -> Small karma boost + new legend mark
  • 50 caged turkey captured -> Grants you a Thanksgiving message
  • 200 caged turkey captured -> Grants 10 pirate coins + big karma boost
  • 500+ caged turkey captured -> Grants a second new legend mark "Legendary Turkey hunter"

    The legendary turkey hunter marks seems to show how many turkeys each person captured. So let the competition begin for who ends up capturing most!

    The Thanksgiving message seems to be the main prize of the event. It allows you to type the name of someone you're thankful for and that person will receive a parcel with a Thanksgiving token. The thanksgiving token grants 2 billion experience points to the person you chose to reward. This can only be obtained once, so choose wisely who you want to be thankful for. Sending them a nice nmail letter along with the token will also be helpful.

    Concerned with people who may try to profit by selling their thanksgiving message as a "service" for profit, Head GM Wony made a nice "warning" on community board, reminding that is not the purpose of the item. Here is a copy of his post:
    BOARD TITLE: Community
    FROM: NexusTK DATE: 11/23
    SUBJECT: Happy Thanksgiving

    One of the rewards from the new event is an item that you can give a generous amount of exp. to others. This was designed to express your/our gratitude and appreciation for the ones that we care and are thankful for. I would like to suggest that we don't use this opportunity for the gains or selves but for others.

    Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! I am, we are truly thankful for your love and support for Nexus, being here in Nexus, together, through thick and thin.

    Thank you.

    Wony

    PS. Hope you like the new Wilderness look, or is it an old look? Someone spent quite a bit of time and effort for this. Thank you so much, you know who you are, and all the others behind what we see and enjoy. Thank you.

    As you can see, Wony was also kind enough to let us know that the Wilderness map has been revamped to look more like it should: a wilderness. Those who are old enough to remember, seems this new version of the wilderness is in fact inspired on the version we used to have back in Nexus 4.0. It looks amazing. We'll soon report how the new map looks, but for now go ahead and explore the new/old areas on your own.

    Prophecies and Picture of Possible Future Event?!
    Posted by: IcePixy -- 2:29 PM EST

    Some folks may have noticed that the Frontpage image on Kru's website has changed!
    It now shows what appears to be a ship crew - does this mean we can expect to be
    invaded by Pirates in the near future?!

    A few Diviner's also received Augury Visions, many wonder if these two are connected
    in some way.

    See the images and visions below:

    Kru's front page picture:

    My Augury Vision:

    BOARD TITLE: Chronicles of the winds
    FROM: IcePixy DATE: 2/24
    SUBJECT: Augury Vision

    In the midst of a conversation with one of my Waterborn within Oceana's hall, I once more felt myself gripped by the stomach-churning sensation of a god-given vision. My eyes changed from their normal pink hue to a swirling purple as the vision descended upon me with a vengeance.

    ~~~~~~~
    I find myself standing in the midst of chaos, burning boulders crashed all around me and the shrieks of pain from those near me filled my ears. The smell of charred flesh reaches my nostrils, and I do my best not to gag.
    As I begin to run through the carnage, a massive mountain rises before me and what appear to be shimmering stars twinkle at me. Yet, as I watch the stars, they begin to blink and I realize that perhaps these are not stars at all watching the ruination below.
    I spin about on my heel, my head begins to swim as I struggle to complete the vision and I nearly run into a bearded man, his companions struggling to aid him in escaping from the looming vessel now before me. Water laps at my toes and the men shout at a distant figure still upon the sea-faring vessel now in the distance.
    A giant wave of salty water hits me from behind and I am swallowed back into reality.
    ~~~~~~~~

    This vision came upon me so quickly, I barely had time to realize what was happening. I've jotted down as much as I can remember from the vision that I saw, I hope we can figure out what it means before it occurs!

    Sieo's Augury Vision:

    BOARD TITLE: Chronicles of the winds
    FROM: Sieo DATE: 2/24
    SUBJECT: Augury Vision

    One of my students found me this morning apparently having wandered into the Diviner Circle in a trance. According to him, my eyes were white and I was singing the following two verses over and over again. He was kind enough to write them down for me and put me in a comfortable spot where I would not hurt myself or others.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Onward into forever the endless oceans roam
    As the stones fall down from the sky.
    Observing from the highest cliffs below the loam
    A clan grows younger and wonders why.
    Within the ocean tumult, observed from afar,
    The raining earth has found an errant island.
    As the people of this island swim for our shore
    Their leader vows his feet shall never touch the sand.
    The complete Changmu compilation
    Posted by: Vini -- 11:40 PM EST
    The stories of Changmu Town have many details and some unclear connections between the villagers and their stories that can be important to the investigation quest and may pass unnoticed by us if we don't pay enough attention to what they're saying. Therefore, as an effort to connect the pieces of the puzzle spread among hundreds of popups, we of Nexus Atlas have prepared a summary of the story of the event and each main part of the lore being told by the villagers of the new-found town. This not a walkthrough, this is a guide to the story, like we've done in the past to big events like the Ophelia saga, the pirate girl daughter of the undead captain. So, if you want to dig deeper into the storyline of the event, go ahead and enjoy your reading!
    -- The Changmu Town --
    Changmu is a secluded town hidden amidst a dark bamboo forest, which is part of Shilla kingdom, the first one that citizens of the Kingdoms of the Winds were able to visit and so far, seems to be the closest one to the three kingdoms. According to Jae Hui it has the largest and most popular cemetery in Shilla. People from all over Shilla kingdom go bury their family there.
    According to Mayor Lioga, Changmu Town was founded many decades ago by his grandfather. It first began as a small funerary service to people of Shilla. However, when their third King began the tradition of visiting his ancestors buried there, shortly after the yearly pilgrimage of common people started and then became a tradition for people of Shilla to go there and pay respect to the graves of their ancestors.
    Mayor Lioga mentions that with years it became the perfect place for the celebrations of Hangawi Festival due to the peculiar area they are located. Since the town is between mountains they don't get much sunlight. However, their unique moonlight view from the hills made it a very touristic place. According to Jae Hui it is the favorite location for tourists because of the amazing view of the moon. Mayor Lioga states that Changmu Town is Shilla's favorite touristic destination during the Hangawi Festival and according to him it is the town's main event of the year.
    -- The Villagers of Changmu --
    Jae Hui, Kwang and Ottong seem to be the caretakers of the Changmu Cemetery. Wyongzi seems to father to Kwang and Ottong and seems the three of them were the first ones attacked by Gangshi in the town. Wyongzi seems to have knowledge in arcane magic and divine magic, according to his son Kwang.
    Zhen seems to be the eldest person in town and one who has traveled a lot during his life time. He seems to have stumbled upon the Diary quest of Nagnang Woodlands in one of his travels.
    Fae Won, Jing Tai and Hwa Miri seem to be merchants of the town that make most of their money during the Hangawi Festival by selling their goods to tourists. Sentinel Eyngi seems to be the person in charge of town's security.
    Yemaro seems to be a carpenter and Seung a seamstress. They seem to be married and have at least two children. The youngest one is Xismo, the boy who is afraid of scary costumes and who hopes to have a farm full of animals some day when he grows up. However, there is a lot of controversy about their other son. According to Jae Hui the eldest son used to stay at the Moonlight Hills for hours during the night howling to the moon pretending he was a wolf, but one day he never returned. Jae Hui claims he can still hear the howling coming from the hills sometimes and claims this whole subject is a sort of a taboo in the town.
    -- The Changmu Town Council --
    The Town Council is formed by councilors and Mayor Lioga. It seems one of the councilors stole the burial records and gave it to the Necromancer and started the whole problem. The reason for someone to do that is uncertain each of them has a reason to be suspects. Miss Viola suspects Professor Mulberry; the Professor suspects Mrs. Reseda; Reseda suspects Colonel Noir; the Colonel suspects Elder Grey; the old lady suspects Mr. Taupe and the religious man suspects it was Miss Viola.
    -- The Hangawi Festival --
    The Hangawi Festival is a three-day holiday celebrated in Shilla Kingdom, when "swarms" of people go to Changmu Town to dance, eat and drink with their families and come to pay respect to the graves of their ancestors. It is a major harvest festival done during Fall filled with traditions.
    Some of these traditions are having a sort of riddles game to obtain a festival lantern and at some point, during the festival they have a traditional lantern walk. According to Seung they also hold an annual weaving contest called Gabae. Other traditions consist in drinking cassia wine, eating mooncake and according to Hwa Miri, a famous dish with colored rice cakes called songpyeon. Also, according to Jing Tai people from Shilla's Capital loved to purchase his unique clothing tinctures: charcoal and teal made from charcoal rocks and moss clumps obtained from inside Turtle shell cave.
    However, according to Mayor Lioga, the Hangawi Festival this year was disaster. Monsters started roaming around in Changmu Town and attacking people. Therefore, citizens from Shilla Kingdom's Capital were afraid to go to Changmu for the Festival that year. Not just that, but seems that King Gima of Shilla issued a quarantine and ordered his guards to block the main road to Changmu to protect the citizens of the Capital, isolating them and abandoning Changmu villagers to their own fate.
    -- The Kangsee/Gangshi --
    According to Zhen Gang'shi (Or Kangsee depending on pronunciation) means "stiff corpse", as their limbs are too stiff to move. They are reanimated corpses of buried people who become possessed by malicious spirits and who according to Ottong can consume a person's life energy very quickly if attacked by one. According to Kwang they absorb the Qi of living beings, sucking people out of their life force until the person becomes a Gangshi like them.
    They are afraid of their own reflection so using magic brozen mirrors imported from Han or Tao mirrors created with the help of Geomancers can weaken them substantially. Some other items they found to be useful to counter the Gangshi were Jujube seeds (daechu seeds), red mung beans (adzuki beans/geuru pat), vinegar, wolf's blood, and rice flour, which are all used as a thick ointment they use on their skin. According to Kwang they also attack mostly at night since they seem to be afraid of sunlight.
    According to Mayor Lioga and other sources at Changmu Town, these "hopping" corpses were raised from their graves using supernatural arts to bring forth an army of the dead, being an enchanted by a mysterious necromancer.
    The issue with corpses raising from the gave isn't only happening at Changmu Town. The necromancer seems to be raising corpses from Wilderness Graveyard, Buya Catacombs, Nagnang Burial Grounds and and one of the Koguryo's Crypts too. Therefore, the community of the Kingdoms of the Winds has joined forces with the villagers of Changmu to try to solve their common problem.
    According to Jae Hui the Mayor ordered the Turtle Shell cave located at Moonlight hills to be magically sealed by Wyongzi, since the cave is infested with more dangerous Gangshi, that don't have talisman on their face. Inside the cave there's also a Gangshi beast, which seems to be the body of cats taken by malicious spirits.
    -- Turtle Shell Cave --
    According to Jae Hui, the Turtle Shell Cave is called like that because looks like the drawings they saw about the legend of Hyeonmu, the dark warrior, who some claim to be a black tortoise entwined with snakes. Clearly, he means the Hyun Moo Totem, but since they never saw Hyun Moo they believe it's just a legend.
    -- Jangseung --
    The Jangseung (village guardian) is a totem pole usually made of wood. Jangseungs are traditionally placed at the edges of villages to mark for village boundaries and frighten away demons. They are also worshiped as villages tutelary deities.
    The ones in Changmu Town were carved by Yemaro, but Zhen the eldest person in the town used some of his magical skills to create two binding talismans that send people close to the ones at north and south boundaries of the town.
    -- The Necromancer --
    The identity of the necromancer is still a mystery to Nexus community, although many people mention him, we don't know his name or where he comes from. Zhen claims that the necromancer a person who he knew long ago and who has returned from death and is trying to raise an army of the dead. He also considers the possibility that the necromancer might be an evil spirit who possessed the embalmed corpse of his friend. This is an evidence that Zhen saw the Necromancer raising the corpses or perhaps Wyongzi did and told him. Seems the necromancer is using the burial records of the town as a way to know where to bring corpses back from.
    --
    I wish we had finished this summary sooner, but it's a very big event and we were mostly trying to get all aspects of main quest and side-quests walk-through first and the map schemes too. If you were a brave survivor who read this whole post whisper me a high five.
    The Forsaken Clan New Primogeness!
    Posted by: IcePixy -- 8:26 PM EST
    Sieo of Forsaken clan has passed the torch of Primogenship to Wulfie!
    Sieo had this to say:
    Dear Community,
    "It has been my privilege to serve as the Primogeness of The Forsaken
    and as The Knight of Nagnang for the last number of months. In that time,
    I annoyed many but many more expressed a level of love and support that
    I will treasure for many years to come. I hope that the community shows
    the same love and support to Primogeness Wulfie and hope that her reign is
    a long and glorious one filled with wonderful moments and memories being
    created for all to enjoy.
    I will still be around if anybody has need of Diviner services or Forsaken Clan
    services but now is the appropriate time for me to retire from the politics of
    Nagnang.
    Long live The Forsaken!
    Long Live Nagnang!
    Sieo Bijeon"
    Primogen Wulfie unfortunately didn't have anything to say in regards to her
    newest position as Primogen of Forsaken, however she did grace us with a
    lovely picture!
    Nexus Atlas wishes Prophet Sieo and Primogen Wulfie the best of luck on both of
    Event "Easter Eggs"
    Posted by: Vini -- 8:46 PM EST
    While the event has a lot of stories told by the multiple NPCs, some of them hide some very interesting "easter eggs". No, I don't mean chocolate eggs during Halloween, but instead "easter eggs" as intentional inside joke or a hidden messages in their speeches.
  • The first one that was found is the last popup by Sentinel Eyngi. "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this", which is a famous quote from first game of Zelda series.
  • The main one, however is a reference to the popular board game Clue. Six suspects with names referencing colors and including a professor and a Colonel. They even accuse each other using places and objects of the game.
  • The other one was found by Washington, who noticed that Zhen closes his popup speech with "fear cuts deeper than swords", which is a line of the Songs of Ice and Fire series.
    Could you find another one? Let us know!
    Silver Talisman Side-Quest
    Posted by: Vini -- 11:35 PM EST
    Event Part 9: The Truth of Silver Talisman
    It seems the mystery of the Silver talisman has finally been uncovered. It works as combined form of yellow scroll and kindred talisman, just like the Qui-Hyang and the Li key. The secret to create one lies with the founder of the Diviners: Silk.
    To find her go to Diviner area at Kugnae 126,168 then enter the door at northwest of Tao te Ching room into Tai Chi room and from there walk towards northeast of the g'oh board into a hidden room called Hsien Courtyard. There you'll find Silk.
    If you ask her about "Silver talisman" she will reply with:
    To obtain a Silver talisman you'll need to bring her the following items:
  • Silver tree branch - (1)(woodcutting ginko trees)
  • Yellow scroll - (100)(any tavern)
  • Kindred talisman - (50)(any clan hall)
  • Cemetery talisman - (12)(Changmu cemetery)
  • Graveyard talisman - (12) (Wilderness cemetery; 2,153)
  • Crypt talisman - (12) (Kugnae cemetery; southern koguryo 022,11; crypt 003,019)
  • Burial talisman - (12) (Nagnang cemetery; 140,04)
  • Catacomb talisman - (12) (Buya cemetery; islets 22,68)
    Here is how using it looks like:
    This part of the quest was discovered by ManlyGuy. According to him what made him discover that the secret of the Silver talisman lied with the Diviners were the following hints: Kwang, the guy next to cemetery entrance says that with the help of my father's (Wyongzi) knowledge in arcane magic and divine magic we could seal the most dangerous Gangshi inside the cave. Also, Yemaro kept saying that he wanted to find the truth about making silver talismans, then changed to "I always wondered about the truth about making silver talismans". The reason why "truth" is a keyword clue in this quest is due to Diviner subpath's philosophy. They believe that truth is the key and knowledge and truth lead to enlightenment. Well, this time knowledge and truth led us to the Silver talisman!
    Other than that, it looks more obvious now that we know the answer, but Diviners' dye is silver.
    A special thanks to Frenya for nmailing me with information of this discovery and to Supreme for giving most of his graveyard talismans, that he had been collecting for hours, so ManlyGuy could get his well-deserved Silver talisman.
    Useful Event Items: Mooncake, Cassia wine and Songpyeon
    Posted by: Vini -- 10:55 PM EST
    While the event occurs after the period of Hangawi Festival in Shilla, it is interesting to notice that some traditional items of the festival are available for us to try out and some of them are very useful. He are three of them, which have interesting descriptions given out by the villagers of Changmu Town: mooncake, cassia wine and songpyeon.
    The Mooncake is a tender pastry biscuit filled red bean and lotus seed paste. People of Shilla believe that eating it every year ensures longevity.
    Mooncake can be bought from Fae Won costs 10,000 coins it heals 20% of vita and casts longevity spell, which makes character immune to poison, scourge etc. for 20 seconds.
    The Cassia wine is made from sweet osmanthus flowers and the taste is a bit like peach with a bit of cinnamon. The families that visit Changmu Town drink it celebrating as 'reunion wine', except for children. They also believe it helps with longevity as it cures various diseases and rejuvenates the mind and body.
    Cassia wine can be bought from Fae Won costs 10,000 coins it heals 20% of mana and casts clear mind spell, which dispels all negative spells on you.
    Songpyeon is a rice cake colored with pine tree nuts, which gives this exotic colored look and taste. They're made from brown rice with black beans, mung beans, honey, pine nut, chestnut, walnut, daechu seeds, sesame seeds and cinnamon. According to Hwa Miri they are made to celebrate experience gained in a year's harvest.
    Songpyeon can be made with Hwa Miri's quest and restores 100% vita without being consumed. You can eat it again after a period. However, Hwa Miri alerts that those who make one should eat it before the end before winter arrives, or else it might get rotten and you'll lose it. This means this item might not be a permanent addition.
    More Findings at Changmu Town - Spare Skin and Vacant Soul usage
    Posted by: Vini -- 8:51 PM EST
    Event Part 8: Fast-Track to Diary Page 2 Ingredients
    While searching for more information on the new event item, Frenya uncovered a hidden or overlooked part of Changmu Town event. It seems Zhen has been saying that never in his travels he has seen something like the Kangsee/Gangshi. While most people never bothered to ask him about his travels, Frenya decided to do it today and it worked. He responds when you ask about Travels.
    Oh, yes I've traveled a lot during my life-time. I've seen many kingdoms and seen many places.
    Once when I was traveling through Nagnang Woodlands I came across some diary pages.
    I was able craft a footguard based on the first page, but I was never able to pass the second page.
    What I found strange was the growing interest of Druids in spare skins and of Shamans in vacant souls,
    says Zhen.
    Immediately after finding this Frenya went to Druid's Sacret Grove and started asking around about 'Spare skin', she found out that Cluichi room responds when you ask about "Spare skin". He says he can trade 10 spare skin for a snake skin mesh. Spare skin is dropped by Gangshis at Turtle Shell Cave and Kangsees at the cemeteries, graveyards, catacombs, etc.
    After such finding, Frenya and Spiri went to Valley of Mudang where Sarvari trades "Vacant Soul" for tortured human souls. The vacant souls are dropped by Gangshi Beasts, the boss creature of Turtle Shell Cave that spawn on rooms 9 and 10 of the cave.
    What is interesting to notice is that these two items are among the ingredients required to make the tier 2 item from Diary Page 2. Along with Snake skin mesh and Tortured human soul the other necessary items are: Focused fire amber, Plate of metal, Amber, Yellow amber, Medium ju jak ring, Tao stone and Winter potion. It's not known the amounts of each yet, but with an increasing number of snake skins mesh and tortured human soul getting to the market perhaps more people will adventure in trying out combinations. Has anyone seen DarkCrystal?
    Server Reset changes Moon dagger stats and adds new item
    Posted by: Vini -- 2:12 PM EST
    It seems there has been a quick reset this morning that has done changes to Moon daggers stats. The changes were to durability, repair and deposit costs. The durability has raised from 80,000 to 300,000 and the cost to repair them is significant lower as well as the deposit costs, however they're still progressive, meaning that Solid moon dagger costs more than new moon dagger. Here's a copy of the post in Dream Weaver's board:
    BOARD TITLE: Dream Weaver
    FROM: NexusTK DATE: 11/10
    SUBJECT: Quick Reset - Nov. 10th, 2017
    - Moon dagggers stat updated.
    - A new event item added.
    Another thing people noticed is that the rock objects in Changmu Town and Murky Bamboo Forest are no longer pushing us back when trying to walk over them.
    However, the most exciting part of this rest notes is a mention of a new event item being added. So far no new drops have been found yet, so some people suspect that it might be the Silver Talisman that Yemaro mentions when explaining the Jangseung talismans. After the reset his final popup changed look:
    He says: "And, you know I always wondered about the truth about making silver talismans. Now, I know and I am happy".
    Before he used to say "Now if I could only find the truth about making silver talismans. Ummmm.... that would be interesting".
    So what's the truth behind the Silver talismans?
    Evidences that there might be Hangawi Festival Next Year
    Posted by: Vini -- 9:00 PM EST
    While most villagers of Changmu Town in Shilla are involved with current quests of identifying the theft of the burial records, weakening or empowering the necromancer that raised the Kangsee zombies or the scared boy quest, a few of them seem to be there just for information purpose. That seems like the case of Seung, who according to her is Xismo mother and wife of Yemaro.
    Seung's popup are particularly interesting because she mentions an annual weaving contest called Gabae. While she says that the mayor canceled the weaving contest this year due to the monsters, she invites us to come back next year and try to win amazing prizes. This could be an indication that they're planning to have another event in Changmu perhaps next year. This is corroborated by another popup, now by Sentinel Eyngi.
    He says it's too late for the festival now and suggests we should try again next year. This is another evidence that KRU plans to have another event in this area next year. Since Chuseok was on October 4th this year, it makes sense that he says "it's too late now", but hopefully we can expect a continuation on next year.
The effects last about 12 seconds and has a success rate similar to other spell casting weapons like Ilbon knife.
    Special thanks to Spiri, Jelec, Quav, HinoRei and SoljahWarobi for sharing the information on the weapons stats.
    Kangsee Hoods
    Posted by: Vini -- 11:25 PM EST
    Those who have visited Kruna Item Shop recently may have found some very interesting connection between a type of item available for purchase and the current event involving Kangsee monsters.
    Seems CoverGirl also has some divination abilities and launched a new type of head accessory called Kangsee Hood, which she described as a must-have.
    "I heard it will be cool to wear this hood for this year's Halloween. I don't know why...hmm...people here are working like crazy.. Anyway choose yours today. We have 9 colors for your taste", wrote CoverGirl on Item Shop Announcements board.
    If you look well, you'll notice the hood looks exactly like the Turtle Shell Cave boss's hat - the Gangshi beast.
    It also looks very similar to Kangsee and to Royal ghost package (royal ghost cap + Royal ghost robe), which is obtainable from witch's Cauldron.
    According to Zhen, the word Kang'see or Gang'shi mean "stiff corpse".
    Mayor Lioga also mentions that they're called Gangshi (or Kangsee) because their limbs are too stiff to move.
    Horror at Moonlight Hills - Hunting Cave Quest
    Posted by: IcePixy -- 3:52 AM EST
    Event Part 5: The Power of the Necromancer
    The main quest of the event can only be done by entering the Turtle Shell Cave, accessible from the Moonlight hills shown in the picture above. However, if you try to enter the cave without the necessary items you'll get pushed back from the door and get a popup with the following message:
    You cannot enter. There's a cave seal by the order of Changmu's mayor.
    If you talk to Jae Hui at northwest of Changmu Town(001,003) you will learn that although the cave is sealed, if you're brave enough he can teach you how you would be able to enter.
    If you ask him about "Cave seal" he'll explain that you'll need a Tao mirror to protect yourself against the Gangshi inside the cave. Jae Hui claims that since the Gangshi inside the Turtle shell cave don't have talisman on the face they're even more dangerous. He clearly mentions you'll need a Tao mirror, and therefore unlike the cemeteries Kangsee, the Magic mirrors bought at KaMing's Encampment won't work.
    He also says that you'll need to create a Thick skin ointment to protect yourself and bypass the cave seal, but explains that the effects won't last forever, so eventually we might need to create new ones.
    Getting the Thick skin ointment:
    To help you create the Thick skin oinment, Jae Hui says you'll need to bring:
  • Vinegar - (1)
  • (Brown) Rice flour - (1)
  • Wolf's Blood - (1)
  • Daechu seeds - (7)
  • Geuru pat (Red mung beans) - (1)
  • Bamboo stem - (6)
    1. The Vinegar is a new item that can be bought for 500 coins from Utako in Asa's Inn, located at Echo's Refuge inside the Garden of the Muses. To reach the garden go to northeast of Islets near Mantis' Forest.
    2. The Rice flour actually Brown rice flour, which can be prepared at Otando's Pantry inside Gogoon's Mansion located at 132,104 at the island. To prepare the brown rice flour you'll need to bring some brown rice, which can be farmed from the reeds located east of Gogoon south gate. To farm the brown rice you'll need a Basic sickle that can be obtained from Naravas' Weapons shop right next to the brown rice field.
    3. The Wolf's blood is dropped by Shadow wolves that roam around the Murky Bamboo Forest. They don't hit that hard so can be hunted by any level.
    4. The Daechu seeds can be obtained by woodcutting the Jujube trees that grow on Nagnang Farms and Nagnang Shore. To cut them you'll need to bring some axes to the southern Nagnang area at 011,154.
    5. The Geru pat is actually the same thing as Red mung beans, a new item that can be bought for 2,500 coins at Chongun Kitchen. It heals about 1/5 of vita and costs 1/6 of what Red potion costs. So it turns out it can be an useful item as well.
    6. The bamboo stems can be obtained at the Murky Bamboo Forest by woodcutting the green bamboos, known as "Bambusa".
    Once you have all the items return to Changmu town and speak with Jae Hui again and say "Cave Seal" once more to receive the
    5. Gather and bring the following items back to him and say 'Cave Seal' to receive the 'Thick Skin Ointment'.
    Getting the Tao mirror:
    1. Ask Fae Won about "Tao Mirror" in Changmu (014,063). He will say that he no longer has them and reveals that he bought them from a woman who was teaching him Feng Shui, probably a Geomancer.
    2. Gather and bring the following items to the Angel called Earth's Treasure at Earthen Cove, the room at north of the Geomancers' Circle of Creation cave located in Wilderness (213,105):
  • Taun wood - (1) (Ogre raid cave)
  • Crystal water - (1) (Raheem desert; woodlands)
  • Bulk of sand (1) (Il san lobsters; woodlands)
  • Fire stone - (1) (gogoon imp cave)
  • (magic) Bronze mirror (sya's shop; Kaming's Encampment)
    To fight against the Kangsee in the 5 cemeteries you can use either the Magic mirror or a Tao mirror. Both of them work. However, to enter the Turtle Shell Cave you'll need the Tao mirror, which according to Earth's Treasure it's not as fragile as the bronze mirrors from Han (Magic mirrors).
    Entering Turtle Shell cave
    1. Once you have both the Thick skin ointment and the Tao mirror head to the Changmu Cemetery (22,0) and up into Moonlight Hills (22,0) and then into Turtle Shell Cave (7,8). Upon entering the cave you'll use the ointment, but will keep the Tao mirror to fight against the Gangshi monsters inside.
    2. The Turtle Shell Cave has a set of 10 rooms, the bosses spawn on 9th and 10th room, but for the quest you will need to find your way into the 5th room - it will have an enchanted book pedestal in the center.
    3. Stand near the book pedestal to receive a popup that asks if you would like to "Empower or Weaken the necromancer".
    **Choose carefully, this will decide which items you bring next**
    4. To 'Weaken' the necromancer, which gives you good karma and white legend mark choose 'Positive Qi'. To 'Empower' the necromancer which gives negative karma and redish red mark choose 'Negative Qi'.
    5. The choice you make will determine which items you'll need for next step:
    Weaken Necromancer **Positive Mark & slight Karma Boost**
    Center Obelisk:
  • Lifeless body - (1) (turtle shell cave)
  • Bottled darkness - (1) (turtle shell cave)
  • Good eye - (1) (turtle shell cave)
  • Graveyard talisman - (1) (Wilderness cemetery; 2,153)
    East Obelisk:
  • Spirit's Sight - (1)(turtle shell cave)
  • Burial talisman - (1) (Nagnang cemetery; 140,04)
  • Catacomb talisman - (1) (Buya cemetery; islets 22,68)
    Empower Necromancer **Negative mark & slight Karma loss**
    Center Obelisk:
  • Lifeless body - (1) (turtle shell cave)
  • Bottled darkness - (1) (turtle shell cave)
  • Cemetery talisman - (1)(Changmu cemetery)
    West Obelisk:
  • Endless Curse - (1) (any Kangsee)
  • Graveyard talisman - (1) (Wilderness cemetery; 2,153)
  • Crypt talisman - (1) (Kugnae cemetery; southern koguryo 022,11; crypt 003,019)
  • Spirit's soul - (1)(turtle shell cave)
  • Burial talisman - (1) (Nagnang cemetery; 140,04)
  • Catacomb talisman - (1) (Buya cemetery; islets 22,68)
    6. Once you have gathered the necessary items for your chosen side of the quest bring them to the necromancer's obelisks located at the Changmu Cemetery. There are 3 obelisks, one in the center, one at north of the west cemetery and one at south of the east cemetery.
    7. Finally, after activating the three obelisks, return to the enchanted book within the Turtle Shell Cave to receive your mark and new Moon Dagger!
    Event Part 6: The Rice Cake Recipe
    Head over to 'Hwa Miri' in Changmu (27,61) and she will help you make a Songpyeon. **takes 30 minutes to complete**
    Songpyeon (restores 100% vita - non consumable)
  • Brown rice (1) (gogoon rice farm)
  • Black beans (Kong) (1) -(chongun kitchen in Dae Shore)
  • - daechu seed (3) (Nagnang farms/shore; coords: 11,154)
    Event Part 7: Trick or Treat the Scared Child
    Comforted/Spooked a Scared Child **comforted provides a legend mark and small karma increase/spooked provides a legend mark and small karma loss**
    Bring a full costume either an animal (cat, dog, sheep, pig, chicken) or a scary costume (frog, bloody mary) to Xismo located in Changmu (16,30) and speak to him to complete this side quest.
    Enjoy the newest event and credit to Maya/AznCloudboi and everyone else who contributed to this information!
    Phoenix/Heaven's Clans Primogen Changes!
    Posted by: IcePixy -- 11:57 PM EST
    Last night Phoenix's very own Sparticus passed the Phoenix Primogen-ship to Bloodangl!
    Here is what Primogen Bloodangl had to say:
    Phoenix has one of the richest histories through out the lands. Though we have had some
    hurtles and many more ahead of us I wish to bring Phoenix up from the ashes to rise once
    again. Phoenix has been my home for many moons and I wish to share our beloved hall with
    you all. I want to thank Sparticus for all that he has done and will do my best to bring back
    Honor to Phoenix!
    Heaven's Clan Savannah also handed over the reigns of Primogen to her very own husband Sadiq!
    This is what Primogen Sadiq had to say:
    I'm excited to take the helm of one of the strongest clans at a time of so much change in the
    kingdoms and their clans. We have built a very strong Council to help me lead, and I can never
    thank Savannah enough for her more than two years building Heavens into the powerhouse it is today.
    It's certainly bittersweet, but I'll do my best to fill her shoes.
    Nexus Atlas would like to thank both Sparticus and Savannah for their dedication to their clans and wish
    the new Primogens Bloodangl and Sadiq the best of luck in their new roles!
    New Dye Potions: Charcoal and Teal
    Posted by: Ferro -- 5:33 PM EST
    Event Part 4: The Broken Dye Vessels
    Jing Tai says that the Gangshi attacked destroyed his tincture vessels and reveals that people from Shilla's Capital used to love purchasing his dye potions. He says that if you bring him the ingredients for the dye potions he can still make some bottles. He gives you the option of choosing to help make two new dye potions: charcoal tincture and teal tincture.
    I've been told that the charcoal tincture has the same dye as LinSkrae dye and the teal tincture has the same dye as Grin dye. Perhaps charcoal and teal are the official names of these dyes. In the following images, the charcoal tincture is pictured on the left and the teal tincture is pictured on the right.
  • To create a Charcoal potion you'll need to bring him 10 charcoal rocks and 1 Muddy potion.
  • To create a Teal potion costs 10 Moss clumps and 1 Aqua potion.
  • Charcoal rocks and Moss clumps are new event items. Charcoals are dropped by Dark Gangshi and mosses are dropped by Teal Gangshi, both can be found inside the Turtle Shell Cave.
    To find out how to enter Turtle Shell Cave read Event Part 5 posted above.
    Horror at Moonlight Hills - Find the Traitor Clue
    Posted by: Loxie -- 7:16 AM EST
    Event Part 3: Changmu Town Burial Records Theft
    Welcome back for another round of Horror at Moonlight Hills! Now that you've made it to Changmu Town head north to 22,49 and have a chat with the Mayor, Lioga.
    The Mayor is a little nosy and will ask you your name and where you're from. If you answer incorrectly you will have to start over. When asked about yourself, answer honestly. Speak to the Mayor again and there will be multiple dialogue choices.
  • What's Changmu Town?
  • What happened here?
  • Tell me about Town Council.
  • After you ask about Changmu and the town council the Mayor will ask if you're willing to help. Answer "Yes, absolutely".
    If you're curious about the other answers, "No, it's not my problem" causes him to grow irate and you'll have to wait awhile before you can try again.
    If you try to extort him for money he will also be angry and make you wait for him to forget your face.
    So! Assuming you joyfully agreed to help discover the traitor, you may have noticed the other fearful looking villagers around Changmu.
    Mr. Taupe
    Located at 17, 51 you'll find Mr. Taupe. After praying to the Moon Goddess he tells you it was Miss Viola because he caught her hiding a rope in the ballroom. Here is what he says:
    The whole town is now paying for someone's sins. Wicked spirits have possessed the corpse of good people and now they roam around attacking any living person. I pray for Heng'e, the Moon Goddess, to have mercy on us. Who could have betrayed us all and stolen the burial records? I have confidence that it was Miss Viola. That little actress doesn't fool me. Last week I saw her hiding a rope in the ballroom. A clear indication that she must not be up to something good.
    Once you finish with Mr. Taupe you'll receive a Viola clue.
    Viola
    Miss Viola stands at 28,51. She wants you to know that Professor Mulberry is the culprit. Viola saw him conversing with a strange bottle in the study and is convinced it's poison. Here is what she says:
    ooooooo. Monsters, monsters everywhere... They are terrifying. Most people are afraid of leaving their houses. The only reason I'm out here is because the Mayor required everyone from the council to be available. I'm fairly certain it was Professor Mulberry who stole the burial records from the Town Hall. I've seen him talking alone in the Study multiple times with a strange bottle. It must be poison. Now I guess he wasn't talking alone. He was talking with spirits. Who knows what they have been talking about. Must not be something good.
    Click through the dialogue and you'll get a Mulberry clue.
    Professor Mulberry
    You'll find Professor Mulberry at 12,41. She'll let you know just how meddlesome Mrs. Reseda is. Mrs. Reseda is obviously the culprit, she threatened Mulberry with a knife. Here is what he says:
    The town is being attacked constantly by those Gangshi, some of us were even harmed by them. Glady we can now protect ourselves with mirrors. I was the one who found out that they are afraid of their own reflection. In fact, they're also afraid of sun light too, but our town doesn't favor that. It's very worrisome that we have a traitor among us. I'm pretty sure it was Mrs. Reseda. She's often messing with paperwork without being asked to. One day when I complained about her interference, she threatened me with a knife from the Kitchen. Only a vile person would do that!
    This is where you'll receive Reseda clue.
    Mrs. Reseda
    Mrs. Reseda stands at 30,36 and is ready to tell you about Colonel Noir and his disgraceful exit from the Shilla army. She caught him hammering the walls of the library's secret passageway and just knows he's the traitor we're searching for. Here is what she says:
    What a mess! Those Gangshi destroyed our wells, our food storages and haystack. I wonder how we'll survive through winter. Nasty creatures. I can't believe they possessed the corpses of our loved ones. Only someone insane would steal the burial records and cause this. I'm totally convinced the thief is Noir. That crazy fellow can't get over the fact he was kicked out of the army. He claims he's retired, but I heard otherwise. Once a traitor, always a traitor. He must be planning to use the army of the dead against the kingdom. He probably has a secret passage in the library, I heard him hammering the walls there not long ago.
    Here you'll get a Noir clue.
    Colonel Noir
    Colonel Noir, located at 35,48, used to serve in the Shilla army. He claims to have seen Elder Grey going into a cellar with candlesticks while speaking with an unseen someone. This makes her an obvious culprit for the theft of the burial records. Here is what he says:
    At ease, soldier! Colonel Noir is here to protect everyone! Well, to be honest I'm retired from Shilla Army, but still, when danger presents one must be ready to act. Too bad I wasn't able to stop the theft of the burial records. But at least I have reliable intel of who did it. It was Elder Grey! She often lights candlesticks in memory of her husband, but last week I saw her going to the cellar while mumbling some words as if she was talking to someone.
    You may have guessed that you'll receive a Grey clue after speaking with Colonel Noir.
    Elder Grey
    Elder Grey can be found at 30,44. She suspects Mr. Taupe of hiding the burial records in his prayer wheel's pipe and conjuring the spirits. Here is what she says:
    These Gangshi are abominations of nature, but I'm not afraid of them. It takes more than a pair of sharp teeth to scare an old lady like me. I still can't believe someone was able to raise monsters using the burial records. Why on earth would someone do that? It must be Mr. Taupe. I'm positive of it. I've heard him mumbling some nonsense words near the altar many times. Others think he is praying, but now I think he was conjuring with spirits. I bet he hid the burial records inside his prayer wheel. If done correctly it can easily fit into the wheel's pipe.
    Elder Grey gives a Taupe clue.
    Now that you have all six clues return to the Mayor and say "Investigation". You then select your suspect and give up your clues.
    This concludes Horror at Moonlight Hills part two. Hope you found the traitor!
    Horror at Moonlight Hills Walkthrough (Road to Shilla)
    Posted by: Loxie -- 10:22 PM EST
    Have you always wanted to visit Shilla? Now is your chance!
    The Horror at Moonlight Hills released this morning is one of the biggest events Nexus ever had with multiple new areas, challenging new monsters, various new and old items, many side-quests and a rich cultural story of a small town in Shilla called Changmu that is famous for hosting an annual festival known as Hangawi. The event is a mix of korean Chuseok with western Halloween, an unique combination of two cultures into a single story.
    Event Part 1: The Attack of the Kangsee corpses
    The call to adventure starts in Hamgyong Nam-Do, where you speak with a wounded man called Ottong (8,4) and click through the dialogue boxes. He says that he comes from a small town in Shilla Kingdom and that monsters began raising from the ground there and due to that the King of Shilla issued a quarantine and isolated the from the rest of the kingdom. With that, they were blocked from entering the Capital of Shilla and his father told him to go ask help of northern kingdoms, which probably means Buya, Koguryo and Nagnang, since Shilla Kingdom is southeast of Nagnang. He says that his town could use the help of our community as they fear soon everyone in their town would perish to those monsters.
    Once he's finished speaking, ask him about the 'monsters'. Ottong explains they are not really monsters, but instead are corpses being raised from the graves. He explains that someone has been using dark magic to raise an army of the dead. Ottong warns us to beware of them, since they can consume a living person's live energy very quickly if attacked by one. He recommends that the community should seal the entrances of all our cemeteries before it's too late and the person raising corpses to become life-draining monsters attacks them as well.
    Well, it's too late already. The four known cemeteries of the Kingdoms of Winds have already been consumed by a dark magic that raises "Kangsee" from the graves.
    The Buya Catacombs (Soldiers', Royals and Commons) located at Islets are now infested with floating corpses known as Catacomb Kangsee. At Koguryo cemetery, south of Kugnae, the Oh-mudum crypt is taken by floating corpses known as Crypt Kangsee. At Wilderness Graveyard, located south of Baekho shrine, there are Greyard Kangsee and at Nagnang Burial Grounds, walking up the Mountain Range at northeast of Nagnang, there are Burial Kangsee. As warned by Ottong these monsters known as Kangsee are almost impossible to defeat and can drain your vita down to death very quickly, no matter how high your level is.
    However, if you return to Ottong and ask him about Kangsee he will mention that in his town they call them as Gangshi. Same word, same meaning, just different pronunciation (romanization). When talking about Gangshi (Kangsee) he suggests we start carrying a mirror with us. He says that his townspeople having been using magic mirrors imported from Han to weaken them and that without a mirror our death would be certain.
    If you ask ask him about about 'Haunted mirror', he will stay that he has never heard of them before. Haunted mirrors are items obtained from a past event in alt Kugnae, that's why he probably didn't know about them. Ottong however explains that since such mirror is haunted it wouldn't work against the Gangshi, therefore refuting any theories that haunted mirror could be used to protect you from Kangsee.
    Since the community has no way of visiting Han at this point, people had to find a shop that would be able to import that merchandise from Han and after an extensive search, it was found that they can be bought for 6,000 coins at Sya's Shop at KaMing's Encampment (014,020).
    With the Magic mirror in your inventory you can finally defeat the Kangsee from cemeteries. They morph pumpkins (Fist, Sumo, Hunter and Guard), Endless Curse, Spare skin and Field pumpkin.
    Each Kangsee drops a different type of talisman:
  • Catacomb Kangsee drops Catacomb talisman
  • Crypt Kangsee drops Crypt talisman
  • Burial Kangsee drops Burial talisman
  • Graveyard Kangsee drops Graveyard talisman
  • Event Part 2: The Road to Shilla Kingdom
    To reach the Road to Shilla Kingdom head to the Leviathans Area near South Gate Nagnang (134/154)and walk southeast towards the Leviathan Fields. There find a new path at 029,009 that leads to Nagnang Gorge.
    Once in Nagnang Gorge follow the road south and cross the gated fences there. heading towards 043,079 so you can reach the Pae River area.
    Once in Pae River, keep following the road towards 020,022 where you will cross the bridge and enter the Road to Shilla at 059,021.
    That is as far as you can go in Shilla territory. If you try to continue on the road you'll be blocked by two Shilla Guards Chunchu and Yushin.
    They say that the road to Shilla's Capital is blocked by the order of King Gima and that Changmu Town is under quarantine. This is the first time the name of Shilla King was ever mentioned. Before then, only known royal of Shilla was Empress Induk who visited Buya in Yuri 55.
    However, as Ottong said King Gima seems to have abandoned people of Changmu Town to their own luck, so it's Changmu Town that we have to head to. To find Changmu Town first you'll need to speak with Sentinel Eyngi At 030,007 guarding the entrance to the Murky Bamboo Forest.
    After insulting your name by saying it's funny, Eyngi says that over the past days a lot of northern foreigners have been going there and according to him that's very unusual. He says it is too late for the Hangawi Festival and suggests we should try again next year. Once you explain you came to help fight against the Kangsee/Gangshi he gets very excited to see you willing to help with the hopping monsters. However, he says he won't allow you to pass without answering some Lantern Riddles, which according to him is a tradition of their people.
    You must answer three of his Lantern riddles. The riddles you receive are random. If you fail to answer them correctly you must wait five minutes before trying again. They are fairly easy to answer, but if you get stuck, check the riddle answers in the image below:
    Once you've correctly answered three riddles you will receive a Festival lantern. (There was a reset today that allows you to remove your lantern now.)
    Now that you have your lantern, head into the Murky Bamboo Forest. It's a dark room so make sure you wear your new lantern to walk around. The Murky Bamboo Forest has 4 rooms that look very similar, so if you get lost make sure to use the mini-map. In the forest you'll find dark bamboos, green bambusa and shadow wolves. In the first area (south) go to either west or east sides then walk north and follow the path to the north area of the forest. Once there you'll notice in mini-map that there are only two paths and if you keep following them you'll be walking in circles. To exit the forest into Changmu Town you need to find a path between two dark bamboos at 026,003. Make sure you're wearing to Festival Lantern otherwise you'll not get to Changmu Town.
    Once in Changmu Town you'll find they have about 30 houses there, most of them which have been attacked by Kangsee/Gangshi. Most of the villagers are hidden in their homes, but you'll still find 17 people scattered around the town:
  • The Mayor Lioga and the town council: Colonel Noir, Elder Grey, Miss Viola, Mr. Taupe, Mrs. Reseda and Professor Mulberry.
  • The Changmu cemetery caretakers: Jae Hui, Kyung and Wyongzi. Wyongzi seems to Ottong's and Kyung's father.
  • The merchants Fae Won, Jin Tai and Hwa Miri
  • The harvesting family: Yemaro, Seung, Xismo and Zhen
    If by any chance you need to leave Changmu Town (which you probably will to collect quests items) you can purchase Beoksu talisman which sends you to southern Jangseungs and Beopsu talisman which sends you to northern Jangseungs.
    According to Yemaro these talismans have a magical link to the Jangseung totem poles. Jangseungs were placed at the edges of the town to mark for boundaries and frighten away the Kangsee/Gangshi.
    North of Changmu Town you can find Changmu Cemetery which is divided in three parts. Center, west and east. At Changmu Cemetery you'll find another type of Kangsee, called Cemetery Kangsee, which drops Cemetery Talisman. Each part of the cemetery has a skull pole which will be used for the main quest of the event.
    Then, north of Changmu Cemetery you can reach the Moonlight Hills, which is one of the best looking places in Nexus. The cave there is called Turtle Shell Cave. According to Jae Hui, they call it turtle shell cave because the entrance looks like the drawings they saw about the "legend" of Hyeonmu, the dark warrior who some claim to be a black tortoise entwined with snakes. Pretty sure he's talking about Hyun Moo.
    However, since the cave is now infested by powerful Gangshi, Mayor Lioga ordered to seal the entrance of the cave to protect the villagers from the more dangerous ones. To enter the hunting cave and work on the main quest of this event scroll up and read Walkthrough Part 5 as posted by IcePixy.
    New Featured News Image
    Posted by: Vini -- 4:21 PM EST
    NexusTK.com -- It seems that Nexus TK official website has a new featured news. It's unsure how long it has been there because Firefox saves page cache (to refresh cache on Firefox use ctrl+shift+R on the page) and the image was only discovered when accessing the official page through Chrome on mobile.
    The picture shows 7 figures on a cliff watching the moon. Four men and 3 women. What could this mean? I've consulted with IcePixy and Sieo to understand if this has anything to do with the augury visions they had. IcePixy confirmed that image resembles a blurry aspect of the visions she had, while Sieo said she cannot confirm or deny it is related to her visions.
